Membership Terms and Conditions
These conditions apply to tourism operations joining NZBackpack.com
Membership of NZBackpack.com is open to all tourism businesses who operate in the backpacking sector . The definition of the sector is self defining – though the following general parameters do apply:
- Budget accommodation providing shared accommodation, self catering facilities and communal areas
- Hop on, Hop off bus transport, National route operators and second tier car and van rental operators
- Activity operators who source a significant percentage from the above accommodation and transport networks
- Businesses who cater to a young and or adventure and experience seeking traveller
It’s the intention of NZBackpack.com to encourage a membership and all operators are welcome regardless of the presence of competing operators in the membership.
The board of NZBackpack.com reserves the right to decline membership to any organisation that it can reasonably argue would detract from the reputation and or aims of NZBackpack.com and the New Zealand tourism backpacking sector. NZBackpack.com also reserves the right to suspend or cancel the membership of incumbent members should their actions, either as an individual or a business harm the reputation of NZBackpack.com and or the New Zealand tourism backpacking sector.
The board reserves the power to make these decisions unilaterally but is committed to a process in accordance with natural justice in any decision making process.
